Less than 6!

It took me LESS than 6 minutes this morning to complete the look. I am floored by how easy these products really are! I thought for sure that I would make a huge mess (as I have any other time I have tried any cream based products) or that my cheeks would look like a clown. Let's face it....I was afraid of cream blush! The ability to complete my makeup in UNDER 6 minutes, WHILE holding a phone (so one handed) and feel so fabulous is wonderful!

I have continued to follow my basic morning routine, using lotion with a small drop of foundation just to equal things out and do use a small amount of powder is my "greasy" zone because otherwise I feel like I am shining more than I should!!! Don't forget, more products are coming out when the line is officially launched in September so my fingers are crossed for a foundation and powder in the future! The only hint I have gotten....COLORS!

Bathroom #decluttered

I know this HAS to hit home with any of the ladies out there reading this! We clean our bathrooms and make everything looks all nice and pretty and then within two days, there is STUFF everywhere. One of my biggest pet peeves is my makeup bag. There was a powdery substance on everything (after one of the kids dropped the bronzer and it broke apart everywhere), the brushes never seemed clean and there was makeup I bought and HATED just taking up room.

So tonight, after all of the school clothes and tennis shoe shopping was done I took myself to Target. My goal was to find the smallest makeup bag that I could and see if I could fit everything that I needed into it. Guess what? SUCCESS! 6 minutes in the morning, a nice clean makeup bag, NO BRUSHES and my counter had less clutter. Check it out.....right hand side is my old makeup bag and left hand side is my petite new makeup bag. All that power in such a small package....fierce and fabulous doesn't even begin to sum it up!

Let me tell you guys a little secret....Tyra's new line doesn't actually launch until September. There are still more products to come! You could be one of the cool kids that was using Tyra before the world really knew about it! How will it be advertised you asked? Well, first, there is the slightly popular show (note: sarcasm) America's Next Top Model (yep, no Covergirl commercial this year ladies!) and second, Tyra is launching her own talk show this September where she will be highlighting these products! SO EXCITING!!!!!!

IT HAS ARRIVED!!!!! #fabulous

I got the notice while at work today that my Tyra makeup was delivered....at home....while I was at work. TORTURE! Got home from work and IMMEDIATELY opened the packages. That's not totally true, I waited until I could go upstairs and lock my bathroom door so that I could be the only one in the room. After all, this is MY special makeup and I don't want my three daughters getting any ideas about playing with it! OFF LIMITS GIRLS!!!!

The packing is beautiful and the makeup looks awesome. I saw a YouTube video where the girl talked about how the makeup goes on like a cream but feels more like a powder when you are dab, dab, dabbing it. She couldn't possibly have it accurate right? Oh, she was accurate. I put a line of 'Light in a Stick" on my hand and dabbed until it was completely gone. How awesome is that? If you put it somewhere you didn't want it, you can just dab and dab and swab until its gone! Now I couldn't wait to actually do my six minute Tyover but knew that I had already had privacy for 5 minutes and that my girls would not be far behind. So, I decided to wait until they were in bed.

Prior to doing my first ever Tyover, I again watched the Tyra video to ensure I knew what to do. She makes it seem SO easy. Guess what, it is just that easy. I have never been one that is real good at putting makeup on or one that puts a ton of makeup on. Most days it was some eyeliner and mascara and I was out of the door. My fear, I would feel like I was wearing TO MUCH makeup. Guess what?!?!?! I WAS WRONG! Six (maybe 7 or 8 since it was my first time) minutes later and I was done. And I feel AMAZING! What did I use to get this look? Sculpt in a stick, light in a stick, cheek in a stick, eye in a stick, Smack My Fat Lash and a light coating of Menage A Brow. The best part of this whole Tyra adventure...IT IS JUST THE BEGINNING! The foundation has been laid but once its totally rolled out there is going to be more and more products to make you #fierceandfabulous!

Why Tyra Beauty?

So there I was, sitting at work thinking about what to spend my hard earned money on when I saw a Facebook post about Tyra's new makeup line. I did some more research....

And watched some videos.....

AND I WAS SOLD! I watched more and more Youtube videos about how to put on the makeup and that was it for me. I decided I wanted to sell Tyra's makeup so that everyone that I knew also had this amazing opportunity. What really sold me? I am a working mother of three and PhD student whose alarm goes off every morning at 4:45am. I have had the same makeup routine for YEARS and have recently been told that I don't look like I am even wearing makeup. I have been told I look tired and just want to look amazing and feel amazing without adding time to my morning routine. Tyra's 6 minute makeover sold me!

Why did I decide to become a Beautytainer? I have been a HUGE fan of America's Next Top Model for YEARS and even spent some time binge watching the seasons on Hulu. Tyra is a HUGE name and how could a product that is developed by her not be amazing??? Besides that, I decided to get enrolled because the product is still in beta testing and can only get bigger and better. So, I took the leap. I am now Lisa Butler - Founding Independent Beautytainer with TYRA Beauty. I will be posting how to videos, before and after pictures and my story along the way.
